From the thread so far, can we make the following statements? 1. The problem sometimes clears by itself 2. At other times, it is cleared by a reboot 3. It does not depend on the NUMBER of people logged in 4. It does NOT seem to be associated with spyware, adware etc If so, it would seem likely that it is caused by someone external accessing the site. In which case is it the same person/site each time, or a different one? Is there any way to check the access stats and find out? Does the server software allow sufficient monitoring that could detect someone downloading the whole site? Has anyone been able to monitor the system while it is 'down' and look at the disk & CPU utilisation?
