Castor canadensis is near and dear to me. I have observed beavers at every opportunity since I was a lad. With their thick fur and unique tail, these creatures of the bush excite me more than any other. Unfortunately, as I grow older, I find it becoming increasingly difficult to get deep in the bush and to observe beavers as much as I would like. Oh well, I have many pond memories to fonder... fond memories to ponder.
