I used to have a Glastonbury Pipe that I bought as a "Folk" instrument. It played in F (sort of) which wasnt the best key but it was tuned to some ancient A=A225.76 and was way out of tune to everything else. It was sort of useless and sounded like a swarm of bees in a jar but I sold it and sort of miss it, I think. I used the cash to buy a Crumhorn. This looked like a curved walking stick and sounded like one. I gather its ok played along with loads of other crumhorns but I don't know of many in Yorkshire, so it went as well.
