I play in the Westinghouse Concert Orchestra and we are performing a VE Day Concert in May that will include a number of war time songs including "the Thing-ummy-bob". (Our orchestra has been around since WW2 and performed on Workers' Playtime - we aim to recreate at least some of the programme that the orchestra played back then!). Although our talented MD has managed to produce orchestral parts for us by listening to a sound track and transcibing the music, we haven't been able to find a copy of the original sheet music.
