Dear Liz, I'm so sorry to hear about Amber, but you did the right thing. It's hard on us to make that decision (I've done it twice now) but we do what's best for them. I still have two elderly (both 16 years), and I try to enjoy them as much as I can, because I know their times will come too soon. For now, just snuggle with the kitties you still have and console each other. Maryanne
