This is an excellent opportunity, Bliss, for you to explore the HUGE wealth of info [AND opinion] by using "bridge" as your search term in the forum threads.

By the way, the saddle is "compensated" to [at least partially] "compensate" for the relatively finer gauge of the treble strings.
BUT "little notches" isn't hyper-clear, and I may have jumped to a ?able answer.

any any rate, dam* near every question you could possibly have about the bits and pieces of your guitar, its care and feeding, &c., can be gleaned at frets.com
