Guilty here too. I was never a real alto, but because I could read music and sing harmony, I always got stuck as an alto or second soprano. Susan Marie, I think the idea of "music of the spheres" is quite ancient, and biblical too, Psalms and Paul I think. Another related thought: in teaching children to recognize intervals, listen to various familiar sounds...bird calls...sirens...speech patterns too.
