I confess to starting or provoking several threads to promote music that I and my friends are involved with. Sometimes it's a song party or conceert, sometimes a song I've composed or adapted, sometimes a CD. I do get some useful feedback most times from this forum, enough to encourage me to keep doing whatever I'm doing. But I do try to encourage discussion, provide background information, and let the thread "die in dignity" when it's been revived a modest number of times.

I appreciate the folks here who do the same.
