The one that is getting up my nose in the UK at the moment is the (frequently used by politicians as the build up to the General Election announcement) phrase " up and down the country" it turns up in every bloody speech or comment at the moment. As for me, one of my oft used expressions that has caused annoyance in the past is "six of one and eleven point 32 of another"
