From Australia, a long way away but having more than a little in common with Canada culturally, the greatest Canadian songs are: Acadian Driftwood (the Band), Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald (Lightfoot), Four Strong Winds (Ian & Sylvia), Suzanne, The Stranger Song, Famous Blue Raincoat, Seems So Long Ago Nancy and many other songs by Leonard Cohen.
