Carol, we've had a couple of impressario mockingbirds in our neighborhood in recent years. There is one little guy who perches on the top of my next-door neighbor's ham radio tower and sings his heart out. The whole routine takes about 10 minutes and includes seagulls, hawks, and car alarms. He sings for 30 seconds or so then jumps about 18 inches above the tower and reversed his direction and continues the song. He has the neighborhood covered that way! Cardinals are passing through now. And robins are still here. Both will move on soon. SRS
