Er, hi. I'm an infrequent visitor, but I have the greatest respect for the wealth of musical knowledge possessed by the members here. I'd really appreciate it if someone might be able to direct me to more information about the lyrics "Come all you bold young thoughtless men, a warning take from me. And never leave your happy homes, to sail the raging sea," from the film Master and Commander, directed by Peter Weir. I have heard that they are part of "The Murder of Mary Marten," but the song isn't period appropriate, having been written in the 1820s. Can anyone tell me where the lyrics might be found in another earlier song? Thank you very much. S.
