GUEST,Karen Lyr Req: Lunatic's Lullaby 'Oh, I was born one...' (141* d) RE: Lyr Req: Oh, I was born... (Lunatic's Lullaby) 29 Apr 05

Wow...the versions...a few things I had different:

"I baked a steak and fried a cake when the mud pies were in bloom."
"I'm guilty judge, I stole the fudge, 3 cheers for old lang syne.
I cannot tell a lie, I hocked a case of rye..."
"If Easter hens don't lay their eggs, their children will be ducks"
"My friends call me Napoleon..." verse, but with "...I come from Minnesota...way down near old Saint Paul"
I had never heard of the "pig or cow can bark meow" verse.

We did this in Girl Scouts in Southeastern Missouri back in the mid-1960's. I couldn't piece it all together and had forgotten the end, so whenever it came into my head, it just kept going and going....Thanks for giving me some closure!
