"My Get Up and Go has Got Up and Went" was written and published by Homer A. Shiveley in the 1930s and was published in the local newspaper in West Union, Ohio. Mr. Shiveley published many poems from the 1930s to 1943 and was a local celebrity. Copyright is now held by D. E. Shiveley.
