...in a previous lifetime, I got stranded hitchhiking in Washington state somewhere between Spokane and Seattle with no sustenance for three days but water and some blackberries growing along the side of the road. After that, there are scant few things at which I will turn up my nose. Fruitcake is one of them. Another is something my wife calls otoe. Tastes like warm dirt. Neil
