We now have the DVD and have learned, much to my wife's horror, that Livesey was stuck in London, doing a stage play, throughout the filming. All those lovely outdoor shots of him in his swinging kilt striding o'er the shoreline rocks and hills were done by a stand-in! The interiors were all shot in London.
But Pamela Brown was great wherever she was filmed, despite her painful arthritis.
And they used to say "photographs don't lie!"
