By the way, the Lysefjord (pron. leeseh , the 'ee' pronounced with rounded lips like the 'y' in 'you'), is not in Oslo, but on the west coast. Oslo IS situated in a fjord, but that is the Oslo Fjord.
Easy to think that Norwegians are a bit funny for dressing up a 'girl' as a mermaid, and sitting her on a rock in a fjord, but what then about the tourists who literally jump ship to take a closer look? And yes, it is true.
