The lyrics to Dat Dere posted by Cool Beans a year ago are NOT the original lyrics. Oscar Brown, Jr wrote the words to Timmon's instrumental as a tribute to his son Bo Bo in the 50's and recorded them on Sin and Soul. Among other things, they are the words of a little boy to his father, not his mother. As one reviewer commented, "some clever hipster dialog between a daddy-o and his very young son". The words cited are the ones used by Rickie Lee Jones. Don C
