Toad in the hole, sausages in batter. Make a batter as you would for a Yorkshire pudding. Fry your sausages. Put a roasting tin with a little lard in itin a hot oven. When the grease is just starting to smoke tip in the batter and the sausages. When you put a knife into the batter and it comes out clean it is cooked. Serve with mashed spuds [potato] peas and onion gravy. dave
