Oscar Brown Jr not only wrote complete songs, but added lyrics to tunes (e.g. "All Blues") and tunes to poems (e.g. "When Malindy Sings"). Btw, he selected four verses only of the latter Paul Lawrence Dunbar poem for the song, OK.
