Hi all
Please find details of the 2nd annual Fairhead Folk Festival. hope to see you there.

Fairhead Folk Festival 1st – 3rd July'05
Welcome to the second Fairhead Folk Festival
It is our aim to firmly establish Ballycastle as a venue for Folk and Traditional music from all traditions. The north east coast of Ireland is steeped in music and no better place than Ballycastle to enjoy it.
With our festival I believe we have a real opportunity to express ourselves in an inclusive and enjoyable way.
To help us achieve this we are very proud to have some of Ireland's premier traditional artists performing this year.
From the haunting and beautiful songs of Briege Murphy to the living strings of Gerry O'Connor's fiddle, from the sublime voice of Sean Keane to the yarns and musical dexterity of Len Graham & John Campbell and Ben Sands.
There will be live music on the open-air stage in the Diamond on Saturday and Sunday featuring local CCE groups, a host of local talent and the vibrant Different Drums.
For the courageous among you a musical/historical pub-crawl around some of the oldest pubs in Ireland will entertain, educate and quench your thirst!
Also for pupils of all ages a chance to learn from some of Ireland's finest tutors in workshops on a range of instruments. We are delighted that Ballycastle CCE has decided to run its summer workshop in tandem with the festival.
All this in the rugged shadow of Fair Head itself, sure how could you go wrong?
Start your musical summer from the 1st – 3rd of July 2005
C'mon up north…it's the new west!!
