Sounds like fun, but a bit of a long haul from here. I wish that David Kinkaid could make it; his two CW Albums are highly reccomended. Both his vocal style and instrumentation are about as dead bang on to the period style as I can determine, and he's really GOOD! Something about the classic old CW songs done in a Country Western style with steel slide / electric guitars and such just seem a little perverted to me for some reason. For Minstrel Banjo in the authentic period "stroke" style you can't do much better than Bob Flesher, and George Wunderlich makes marvelous reproduction Minstrel / CW period banjos. The last I knew he was planning to make period gut-strung "Parlor" guitars too, but I don't know how that project went, as I have not heard from George in some time.
