Dear all, We were listening to the Don McLean song, "Starry, Starry Night" (about Vincent Van Gogh) on the radio, and it got us thinking about songs devoted to creative endeavors. "Sing For Your Supper" from "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" was one we came up with, and a recent addition to the Mudcat forum about "a piece of yarn" is a splendid choice from the folk tradition. Wondered if others could think of more examples. (Sometime' ya jus' git raht plum tahred o' singin' 'bout nuthin' butcep' spoonin' 'n' sparkin' n'r murther'n mayhem!) Give it a go, eh, loves?
