But why switch from terrestrial to digital just before the big finalé? Lots of people don't have digital yet, so those watching will have missed the end. Was this just a mean spirited ploy to try and coerce a few hundred more people to go and buy a set top box? Or just inept programme planning? Whatever the reason, as my missus has just said, it is not very egalitarian. And why pointless channel ads and a news bulletin, for goodness' sake? Which production muppet thought that that would be a good idea? Also, given where we are discussing this matter, where were the digital options to see the other stages for the world music, folk and other acoustic stuff etc. ? Non-existent. Just NOT good enough.
