Well, guest, if you attended the festival I imagine you'd note that we have an area set aside for people with various physical challenges. And we do have attendees who are hearing-impaired. There aren't a lot. But we have a lot going on beside the concerts. We do try to reach out.

Beyond that, Jake Thomas, the signer since 1992, is a hell of an artist in his own right. He has become part of the experience for a lot of us with normal hearing. And he does the festival because he enjoys coming to it.

And then there's the dimension Jeri mentions. He translates on the fly. So how do you sign "Ida Red", or things more complex or lurid ? We've had some great artist-signer moments over the years.

And it helps make us all more aware.
