HAMM, James Edgar "Fiddlin' Jim"
HAMM, James Edgar "Fiddlin' Jim" - 87, Martins Point, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Born in Halifax, February 28, 1918, he was a son of the late Jessie Gladys (O'Brien) and James St. Clair Hamm. He was a veteran of the Second World War, stationed in Halifax; a retired member of the Carpenters Union Local 83; a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 144, Western Shore; a member of the Hank Snow Society; a life member of the Lunenburg County Fiddlers and was inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.   Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Archdeacon Duanne Tanswell officiating. Interment will be in Western Shore Cemetery, followed by a reception in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Western Shore.
