Glad Woody is being honored. It didn't turn out that Woody's proclamation about copyright held true. If you illegally use his songs you will hear from his publisher and royalties will be exacted. There is something about the copyright law that needs to be looked at. But the publisher, not the songwriter controls that copyright. I hope that Woody was able to see some money for his efforts, though. He wasn't paid what he deserved. Frank Hamilton "This song is Copyrighted in U.S., under Seal of Copyright # 154085, for a period of 28 years, and anybody caught singin it without our permission, will be mighty good friends of ourn, cause we don't give a dern. Publish it. Write it. Sing it. Swing to it. Yodel it. We wrote it, that's all we wanted to do." W.G.
