Steam Packet were the best band around in their time, I saw them at the Manor House, Finsbury Park. L.B.J. with that deep fruity voice, Julie Driscoll - I fell in love with ( she sang Shotgun ), and even Rod was great in those early days, doing the r&b standards, Midnight Hour etc. They did some great duets and threesomes backed by Brian Augers formidable 4 ( I think ) piece. It's sad he has gone so soon.
