Hello from the Big Apple, Amos, Rapaire, BWL and all! I would have rescued mom from the nether regions of the page had I been home to do so. But I was in Brooklyn with my daughter eating Lebonese food then walking around the promenade at Brooklyn Heights. I'm in Manhattan now, testing out the new keyboard, mouse, and monitor I've purchased for the friend who is letting us stay at his apartment in the north end of Greenwich Village (14th St. at 7th Ave.). He isn't here now, he left for a few days, so these are a surprise. He bought a new computer 18 months ago, but kept the old peripherals to use. His old monitor was from sometime around the mid-1990s and his keyboard was practically Neanderthal. His mouse didn't have a wheel for scrolling, just the old two-button mouse job. The cost of this gift is that of a modest hotel for a few nights, not even covering the entire time we're here. He is going to go ballistic before he falls in love with this stuff, but by then I'll be back in Fort Worth. His old monitor was a horror, dark, not adjustible. The keyboard had no media controls (I found one that has a few discreetly placed buttons along the top).

Keep mom afloat! I won't be on the computer often until mid-week.
