I get a sense that Zucchero has been around for quite some time, so there is a chance that he may have actually recorded both this and the Davis tune with them at one point, but neither were alive when the Concert was filmed. I think that he just sampled the pieces of the Hooker stuff, but used an actual Davis recording to write a song around. I can't remember the title of the track and I loaned the DVD out, but it's really something.
