I'm a big admirer of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and Joni Mitchell. This ain't a competition, folks; it's okay to like any and/or all of them.

I think Devils and Dust is a great record, musically and lyrically. I'm glad Bruce still puts so much of his heart into his music. There's always a temptation to sneer at someone who has made it as big as Springsteen has, but success or no, I think he's the real deal.
