I've never played one of his guitars - never seen a lefty and I imagine I would have to pay for it before I'd get the opportunity. People I have spoken with all say it's a matter of taste - they either suit your style or not.

I have tried a bouzouki (I play those upside down) and found the tone rich and warm for Celtic accompaniment but just too much - too busy, too many harmonics and overtones - for some of the more complicated stuff I tried.

Try before you buy, horses for courses etc.
