It's about time the term was dropped. It has nothing but negative connotations across the globe. It harks back to the time when the sun never set etc. I am not, never have been and never will be a Brit. I am parochialy Mancunian and globaly human. All the bits in between are made up by other people wanting to rule my life. The terms 'nigger' and 'yid' are very fortunately now things of the past. Lets make sure that the same happens to brit.
