I personally think you're both wrong, but not eejits. I am diametrically opposed to the deification and veneration of fellow musicians. When reputations grow, and musicians become out of reach, for the simple social exchanges such as sharing a pint or two, I no longer service that relationship.

This hysterical media-fest is manna to the chattering classes (that's us, too, by the way!) and has absolutely sod all to do with a bunch of muso's who churned out some smashing tunes a couple of decades back.

Hopefully this thread will die before the media circus.
