I "love" Wegmans! Founded by the Wegman family in Rochester, NY. Although a Walmart Supercenter is currently under construction in my area, I don't think it will ever top Wegman's service, selection and reliability--and perhaps too, prices! They (Wegmans) seem to do a lot with local food growers, which is nice. I've heard about the Ithaca Wegmans--I would love to be able to check out some of the bigger ones, especially for the ethnic food departments.

I like their Menu magazine, and also the way they give recipies in their weekly ads. Some are pretty darn good! I really liked the "gyro burgers".

Incidentally, they were No. 1 in the last (not sure if it was 2004 or 2005) Fortune 500's 100 Best Places to Work, beating out companies like Cisco Systems!
