Just in case it affects your choice, HP cartridges went up in August but I've just today been informed by one of my suppliers (I run a commercial stationers in NE England, so I get advance warning!) that Epson carts are going up on October 1st. If you don't mind compatible carts, I usually find Epsons are cheaper, but the quality can be poor. Quick glance in list reveals Epson black cart (T044140)- average page life 400, HP No. 56 - page life 450 and Epson is currently £1.00 cheaper in my list. But the features and print speed are probably more relevant. My printer at home is an old epson that seems quite happy to go on for ever. At work I've been through 3 HPs in the same time.
