Went to the Ewan MacColl do last year expecting a day of finger in the ear MacColl songs and nothing else - but it wasn't a bit like that. In fact, I thought there were rather too few MacColl songs! Apart from that there was some great singing in the singarounds and from the guests. As it is in the working class library, we also got a tour of the place from one of the librarians there - very interesting stuff for labour historian types like me. This is a day of celebration of traditional music and the folk revival - it's a shame the name puts people off. I'm sorry I wont be able to go this year. Please say hello to Dave, Andy(?) and Barbara - great singers!
