My absolute favorite is "One Meat Ball." I heard it as a kid and have never been able to get it out of the back of my mind. One artist I haven't seen mentioned is Lady Day - Billie Holiday. For pure gut-wrenching tear-your-heart-out passion, listen to her "Strange Fruit."
