Musedit is a very powerful program that can notate just about anything you can throw at it from the most simple to the most complex music. From what I have seen on the web, Musedit can deal with more complex notation than Tabledit and produces better looking scores. Tabledit's plus points are the small size of the files and it is pretty good at playback for straightforward guitar music. However small file size is bought at a price and if you look carefully at some Tabledit files you will see notation errors - probably due to limitations in the program's handling of more complex notation areas. If you want polished looking scores then Musedit seems to offer more possibilities.......... Musedit can produce some very nice looking scores for any instrument or ensemble (up to 20 parts). It also allows you to notate songs with lyrics melody chords, band instruments etc. Having tried the Sibelius G7 demo I'd say that Musedit is the better program when it comes to speed and ease of notation. An d it gives minute control over every aspect of score layout. Sibelius has a lot of flashy playback features, but IMO the notation is more important.
