Yeah, screw the food. BUT it would have been nice had the place been cleaned before we got there. Also, room service sucked: never answered the damn phone. The space outSIDE the cabins is magically beautiful to me, and I will miss it. Memories from the last few years I'll remember: walks by the pond, the smell of the pine needles in the sun (we took a nap under a tree, thanks for not stepping on us), the almost-full moon through the pineboughs and tears, the random benches situated for valley-viewing. The place has potential it's not living up to, but in any case, it's water under the bridge, right? And, I also am a cook and a caterer. And my daughters (sniff) thought those breakfasts were fabulous. Sniff. Let's consider asking everyone to work a shift next year. Even if the kitchen at the new place doesn't much want us, I think there's a proprietary interest created by involving folks in the housekeeping. Just a thought. Dani
