"Godly and sober matrons"!?!?! Heaven forfend!!! Well...I guess I do have to admit to the sober part. But only as it relates to drink. Actually, I thought the minister had the vows, and when I scurried to the front to ask him, his eyebrows nearly met his receding hairline. Fortunately, my nephew the pizza driver got Steve home and back in record time. We walked in singing, first me and then Steve. We alternated verses from "Hymn Song" by Utah Phillips, with everyone joining in on the choruses. I think we both managed to sing clearly enough that shaking knees were not too obvious. Somehow, I managed not to trip on my train during the ceremony, and the dress didn't shed too many beads. My friend, Lilith, made the dress for me, and beaded the edges of the sleeves and all the way around the veil. I guess beads and insanity just go together. So far, we've seen one dvd of the ceremony and reception. We haven't seen any photos yet, but then, WE know we made it. Its been almost 2 weeks and we haven't killed each other yet. I think we'll do okay.
