I believe the song you're looking for is GRACE.

The story of William Plunkett and Grace Gifford.

They were married in the chapel in Kilmainham Jail, just before he was to be taken out and executed for his part in the Easter 1916 rebellion.

GRACE
(Frank & Sean O'Meara)

As we gather in the chapel here
In old Kilmainham Jail
I think about the last few weeks
Oh, will they say we failed
From our schooldays they have told us
We must yearn for liberty
Yet all I want in this old place
Is to have you here with me.

CHORUS: Oh, Grace, just hold me in your arms
And let this moment linger
Then take me out at dawn and I will die
With all my love I place this wedding ring
Upon your finger
There won't be time to share our love
For we must say goodbye.

Now I know it hard for you, my love
To ever understand
The love I bear for these brave men
My love for this dear land
When glory (Padraic) called me to side
Down at the G.P.O.
I had to leave my own sick bed
To him (there) I had to go.

CHORUS: Oh, Grace, just hold me....

Now as the dawn is breaking
My heart is breaking too
On this may morn as I walk out
My thoughts will be of you
I'll write some words upon the wall
So everyone will know
I loved so much that I could see
His blood upon the rose.

CHORUS: Oh, Grace, just hold me....

Hope this is what you're looking for. This has just been posted on some previous thread, but I felt talkative today
