Most bluegrass players settle for nothing less. At a local bluegrass festival, I wouldn't even to have heard any music or see anything telling what the festival was. The sheer proportion of Gibsons and Martin guitars was enough. Even people who could only play 3 chords had them. It used to amuse me but also make me glad that the music I enjoy most rather than being bogged down with that sort of "must have a ... " mentality is full of people open enough to make their own assesments and select the instruments that fit their needs and tastes the best.
