Angus makes an interesting observation and while I don't think all the responces are male I don't think blues is any different than other forms of popular music. Males dominate music across the board, why I don't know. See the blues is an achin' ol' heart disease If you never had 'em, hope you never will You might be man, you might be gal But when that lawd gets ready you got ta move Poetic licence runs amuck!!!!
