BobLusk BS: Music party Invite in NY (4) Music party Invite in NY 07 Jan 00

Important Invitations

ANNUAL MUSIC PARTY On Jan 29th, 2000, the Lusk family will have our Annual Mid-Winter Folk Music Party at 61 Wurts Street, Kingston, New York. It starts at 8:00 p.m. and runs until people leave, which is usually pretty late. It is a family affair though, and there are professional baby sitters on duty upstairs (better known as "kid's land") until midnight. All kinds of music and musicians are welcome, but no amplifiers please. It's not a big food party, (it's a music party!) but we have the basics - you won't go hungry - and you can bring a dish to share if you wish. Also, this is an open party, so feel free to spread the word. No illegal drugs please, although moderate alcohol use is fine. All smoking must take place outside. Call or e-mail for directions or other questions.

WEEKLY FIDDLE N' FOLK JAM We've been having a jam session in Kingston for the past 4-5 years. It is always on Thursdays from 12-1 (lunch time). It's called the "Fiddle n' Folk Jam". Sometimes we actually have a fiddle with us! During the winter we have been meeting a music import store called "Anyone Can Whistle". They are closing on January 15th, so effective January 20th, we will start meeting at Abram's Music Store, down the block at 302 Wall Street. It is a small informal acoustic folk jam. Whoever shows, we play what we want. It is very eclectic and could on any one given day include American folk songs, old-tymey, irish, cajun, blues, beatles, pop, whatever. All acoustic instruments welcome. Feel free to call me for more information, directions, etc Thanks,

Bob, Penny and Roberto Lusk 61 Wurts Street Kingston, NY 12401 (914)338-8587 boblusk@aol.com
