I nominate Matt Price, of the Seattle area. He's a wonderfully witty and compelling songwriter and excellent folk and blues guitarist with a very soulful baritone voice. Among my favorites of his are "Jesus Don't Mind" (" ... Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, he's nobody's fool. He could send ya to hell, but he loves ya too well -- Don't ya think that's incredibly cool!? ... ) and "Old Mr. Grey" (a rival of "the Blues"). He collaborates a lot with other NW talent, such as Rebecca Cohen on backup vocals and electric bass. His style is eclectic, with some songs kind of country, others more folky, and others primarily blues. If you get a chance to hear him, you really should. Genie
