actually (going back to what Gnu had written), not many of the nicknames make much sense...

-- Really, the Senators? never really been known to do much by way of government...

-- The Anaheim Mighty Ducks. 'Nuff said.


Now, on another note, there are a few which are a little more interesting...

-- Yes, it is tough to outrun an Avalanche, though they are a little unpredictable ("shhhh....")

-- If they do not win another cup, does that mean that Lightning truly does not strike twice?
