I don't like doctors. I avoid them if at all possible. I have been blessed with excellent health.

I had an ear infection. Three years went to General Practitioner for a "fungus" that I was sure was in my ear. He insisted it was bacterial. His cure did not work. I tried,over the course of three years solutions , peroxide, water, salt water, bakingsoda water, vinegar, mineral oil, olive oil, hair oil, hair tonic, various herbal solutions and finally in desperation diluted chlorine bleach. I recount this, only to demonstrate that I must be desperate before I seek medical attention....If I got the flu in the past...I would let it run its course....Let the fever burn for at least 48 hours, then drink copious amounts of hot fresh yarrow tea, sweat it out, and move on to the apirin....when the fever was unbearable. I NEVER would have considered a doctor unless the misery was getting near life threatening...."The bug is in the air, I'm going to get it....soooner or later...In a week to 10 days it will run its course." was my thinking.

I desperation about the Fungus Ear.
I located an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist. He said deffinately a fungus - and treated it successfully. Last week in a followup visit I mentioned the "flue" to him as a matter of conversation. He wrote me a prescription, just in case I got it....and empasised that it must be used within the first 48 hours of the first onset of fever, chills, all that stuff.

I am a BELIEVER in the new medications!!!. 48 hours ago, I took the first pill....about6 hours after first strong symptoms.......relief came in 24 hours...today, I am lethargic, but no fever, no chills, no aches, very slight occasional cough when I laugh.....I will probably return to work Thursday. There does appear to be a CURE!!! for the flu...if it is caught early enough.

Taken twice a day...on alternating clock shifts, (6 hours apart)

1.FLUMADINE 2. TAMIFLU

Cost for 5 days medication 120.00 U.S. - but it WORKS!! If I had not been so agrivated by the ear...It would have been a lifetime before I would have gone in for flu..help.
