Woven Wheat Whispers - New Albums 12th December 2005


I'm delighted to let you know about this week's new albums which are from:

- Ken Nicol, excellent solo artist, member of both Albion Band and Steeleye Span brings five albums in various folk styles including a wonderful, timely set of Christmas tunes played on guitar.

- Jack Hudson, two albums of excellent acoustic folk and folk-rock

- Tom Martin, three albums of folk-rock solo, live and with a band

- Entropy, a great EP at discount price from a marvellous early Fairport Convention styled folk rock band

- Boys From Melbourne Street, an album of lovely and very different folk-swing music

- Small Blue Fish, a lovely modern folk EP of vocal and guitar in the Anne Briggs style circa 'Time Has Come'.

- two albums from Astar music of Cuban music from 'Asere' and 'Papa Noel and Adan Pedroso', marking the start of our new world / roots section.

Thanks to all the new artists for being part of the service which now stands at seventy five albums distributed.   Promo releases for review are always available as usual, just ask at info@wovenwheatwhispers.co.uk and we'll send you a free link. New artists always sought for current, forthcoming and back catalogue releases.   Feel free to post this email, forward it and distribute around the industry, on your web sites, blogs etc (and if you do, you count as a promoter)..

We have some great albums coming in the next few weeks and regular buyers starting to explore the catalogue deeply alongside the stream of new people finding us.   As part of this initiative we hope it is proving useful is bringing together artists and helping further enhance our sense of a folk 'community.
