Hey Guys,
Just thought I'd introduce you all to Ember Swift. I've been listening to them heaps lately and think she/they're really talented. They combine folk, jazz, funk, punk, world (ranging from Middle Eastern to Spanish to Eastern European), pop, classical and reggae and their songs shed light on issues such as globalization, consumer awareness, food politics, disengaging from capitalist greed, feminism, queer politics, racism and environmentalism. So if you're into Ani DiFranco styled chick folk with a bit of a twist they're really worth checking out at this years Woodford Folk Festival (woohoo can't wait for that one!) and I think they're playing at the Feel Good Festival too just for you Sydney dwellers.
Any way, dates are as follows so come along and check out on of the best hard working independent songwriters around.
